CHRISTMAS UNDOUBTEDLY IS ONE OF THE MOST CELEBRATED HOLIDAYS OF THE YEAR. But….. In recent years there has been a lot of controversy over the use of “Merry Christmas”. In an age where it is virtually impossible to be politically correct about anything these days, SOME people have felt that “Merry Christmas” isn’t an appropriate term to use anymore. The challenge of allowing the phrase MERRY CHRISTMAS VS HAPPY HOLIDAYS is what the world has come to in their attempt to mainstream Christianity.

WE SAY MERRY CHRISTMAS BECAUSE IT IS AN INTENTIONAL CELEBRATION OF THE BIRTH OF CHRIST JESUS. Christmas is a “Christian holiday” and a day that we deem holy. It’s not up for discussion, and not a day that can to switched on and off in tandem.

The date December 25th was chosen based on the Roman Calendar AND THE DAY CHRISTIAN ACCEPTS AS A TIME TO CELEBRATE THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST, and what a celebration it is!

For those who are believers in Christ, it is also a time of spiritual reflection of God’s love for the world and the fulfillment of the prophecies of Jesus Christ. The exchanging of GIFTs is simply symbolic of God giving us his most precious gift, Christ Jesus. In a nutshell, it’s a time of the year when Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, and we happen to use that Holiday to fellowship with others and to show our love on a different level, in the name of Christ Jesus.

One of the main reasons that the devil wants to minimize, or capsule the term “MERRY CHRISTMAS” is because of the meaning.

What I believe is happening rapidly is that more and more, Non-Christians have become uncomfortable with Christ, and Christmas is no different. Banning Christ from Christmas AND CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES is just another step in the direction of non-believers forcing Jesus Christ out. IF we accept their discomfort, then their discomfort will become ours.

In other words, NEVER ALLOW ANYONE TO COMPROMISE OR MINIMIZE YOUR FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST- YOUR FAITH IS A PURENESS THAT WAS NOT BE CREATED BY MAN.

Titus 1:15 SAYS To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled.

** THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, BECAME THE VERY CORNERSTONE, AND A STONE OF STUMBLING AND A ROCK OF OFFENSE TO THOSE WHO ARE DISOBEDIENT TO THE WORD.

Revelation 3:10-11 Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth. I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have so that no one may seize your crown.

Therefore your faith has authority, and that authority gives you the right to make your own decisions and then enforce those decisions through your obedience to the principles of GOD.

Keep in mind that the real-life Antichrist will not just show up on the scene. It will send the spirit of the antichrist to prepare the way, and it starts with desensitizing Christians to vital words. Think about how many functional terms have been the culprit of eroding the name of Christ.

The name of Jesus Christ turns heads, gets people’s attention, and then separates followers of Christ, from THOSE WHO WISH TO WATER DOWN THE GOSPEL.

Think about how the secular world in collaboration with the Devil has worked to keep the mention of the name of Christ to a minimum. We should be asking ourselves why the name change, and whose bright idea was it to go from “MERRY CHRISTMAS TO HAPPY HOLIDAYS? AND HOW DID THIS GREETING AND SALUTATION GET SO CONTROVERSIAL?

CHRISTIANS SEEM TO BE THE ONLY GROUP THAT IS FOLDING UNDER THE PRESSURE OF WATERING DOWN THE GOSPEL AND OUR FAITH. THERE ARE MANY OTHER RELIGIOUS AFFILIATIONS, THAT DARE NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO TOUCH THEIR CONVICTIONS, THE DAYS THEY DEEM HOLY, OR THEIR FAITH IN THE GOD THEY HOLD DEAR.

WHY HAVE WE AS CHRISTIANS ALLOWED OURSELVES TO BECOME SO SOFT ON KEEPING THE NAME OF CHRIST PURE, AND HOLY?

THERE IS A TEACHING THAT IS BEING PROPAGATED THAT SAYS THAT Christmas is not in the Bible. Some people are of the persuasion that Christmas is not technically in the bible, and they give historical and chronological data to prove their theory. But do they? Even some historians even teach that the holiday that was originally set to observe and celebrate the birth of Jesus didn’t happen in December, rather in a much warmer month. The chronology of the events (what happened and why) of the birth of Christ is far more important than when (the actual month) it occurred.

The actual day, week, or month is not as important as why we celebrate it. WE SHOULD CONCENTRATE ON the sacred purpose AND THE DEITY OF CHRIST, NOT IF WE HAVE THE EXACT DATE CORRECT. IN OTHER WORDS, IF CHRIST WAS BORN IN A MUCH WARMER MONTH AS SOME BIBLE THEOLOGIANS BELIEVE, BUT WE CELEBRATE HIS BIRTH IN DECEMBER, THINK ABOUT IT IN THIS CONTEXT- THE DIVINE SUPREME GODHEAD IS NOT AFFECTED BY DATES. CHRISTIANS HAVE ACCEPTED DECEMBER 25TH AS A DAY THAT WE CELEBRATE THE BIRTH OF CHRIST JESUS, THE GIFT FROM GOD TO THE WORLD, AND WHETHER IT WAS SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER, OR EVEN NOVEMBER, IT DOESN’T REALLY MATTER, IT’S A DAY THAT WE DEEM HOLY, JUST LIKE ANY OTHER FAITH, AND WE DO IT AS UNTO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Nonetheless, the exact day of the celebration is not as important as what and who we are celebrating. Therefore, don’t allow religiosity to dampen your spirits regarding what day or days that you honor.

Romans 14:5-9

 says –

One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their mind. 6Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. 8If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. 9For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

** NEVER ALLOW ANYONE, OR ANY SYSTEM TO SQUEEZE THE HOLY DAYS FROM YOUR CALENDAR- LIKEWISE, THERE IS NO NEED TO JUDGE OR LOOK FOR FAULT REGARDING HOW SOMEONE ELSE CELEBRATES OR NOT EMBRACE A HOLIDAY.

This is not to cause an uprising or conflict upon each other, but we must return to the pureness of a child, and not care what others think about our convictions and love for Jesus Christ, and share it more frequently.

If we don’t take a stand for Christ, Christians won’t have any rights left, and the secular actions of the world will replace what was once one nation under God.

1 Peter 3:15-17 says But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. For it is better to suffer for doing good if that should be God’s will, than for doing evil.

Keeping Christ in Christmas IS SIMPLE! IT REQUIRES AN UNDERSTANDING OF WHO HE IS, WHY WE CELEBRATE HIM, AND A PASSION TO KEEP THE VISION ALIVE.

(Matthew 1:23) says The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son and they shall call him – Immanuel – (meaning God with us).

(John 1:29) called him The Lamb of God – Who takes away the sin of the world

Revelation 22:13 – called him Alpha & Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.

Isaiah 9:6 – For unto to us a child is born, unto us, a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

John 6:35 – Jesus declared “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

Isaiah 59:20 – declares that HE is The Redeemer.

FOR THOSE REASONS AND MANY MORE, WE HAVE TO KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS AND SHARE THE GOOD NEWS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE YEAR.
